Dangerous Curves

“Dangerous Curves” was a fashion for Gene Marshall released in 2007 by Integrity Toys as part of the  Rare Deal Convention (an FAO Schwarz exclusive). Inspired by a 1951 Ben Reig design in rayon crêpe, it fit in perfectly with the film noir theme of the convention. Here’s the Harper’s Bazaar vintage ad, with photo by Francesco Scavullo, modeled by Sunny Harnett:

Who better to model this outfit than JAMIEshow’s own Marlena?

With or without the chapeau, she looks incredible.

Oona and Marlena

Amid much speculation, George Gonzalez and Mel Odom released the latest doll in the Gene Marshall series, heralding the return of Oona! The blonde lass was an absolute hit, with her limited edition of 100 selling out immediately.

Her accessories include a bright red trio of pumps, purse, and scarf:

A sneak peek at her violet eyes caused many to guess that the new release would be Zita Charles instead.

George also released this absolutely stunning doll named Marlena. With more than a nod to the legendary Marlene Dietrich, she is a showstopper.

With an even lower edition of 50, she too has sold out.

The name of this release is "Toast of Tinsel Town."

I do not believe she is even available for wait list anymore.

As they say, "you snooze, you lose."

Still crossing my fingers for a Trent release.
