Trent in Resin!

Mel Odom and George Gonzalez of Jamieshow teamed up in 2013 to resuscitate Gene Marshall. Not just trot her out again…but in resin. Beautiful luminous resin. I held out hope that Gene's male friend, Trent Osborn, would also be produced by Jamieshow. Finally, that day is near. Today, Gonzalez announced the following:

On Sunday December 21st we will be introducing a new Character in the JAMIEshow Gene Marshall Line! Check the website Sunday the 21st at Noon Central Time for more info on Trent!

He is quite a handsome devil! Edition numbers, descriptions, and more info will be posted on the day they go live on the website!

George also let me know the following:

He can wear all the original Trent Clothing made AND he can also wear JAMIEshow Men’s clothes! There will be several other surprise regarding Trent when he is introduced, so everyone will have to stay tuned til Sunday for that! Everyone will be very pleased!

From another piece of teaser art, it would appear that Trent will have the ability to switch hair colors as well. This is fantastic news!

As if that wasn't enough, George is also offering $50 off your purchase! Here's the deal:

I can't wait to see the new articulated resin Trent. How about you?

The Return of Madra and Violet

Today's post is hopefully better late than never, as last Friday night, JAMIEshow announced the release of two new dolls in their Gene Marshall line, Madra Lord and Violet Waters.

The Madra doll, titled "Spotted in Manhattan," sports the hairdo seen in Mel's original drawing.

Here are a few more of the publicity shots from the JS website:

If you want your own Madra, you better act fast; she has been released in a very small limited edition of 150, and JS owner George Gonzalez has stated that she is the ONLY Madra that they will be creating. Here's the link to the site:

If you're a Violet fan, then unfortunately you missed your chance with her. The limited edition of 50, titled "Satin Doll" sold out immediately.

As they say in life, if you snooze…you lose. Many thanks to George and JAMIEshow for keeping the Gene flame burning. Here's hoping that Trent will be appearing soon!

I Adore J'Adore

To answer my question from over three months ago: yes, I adore J'Adore! I had to rush a few quick photos this morning before work. Enjoy!

Out of the box: Phoenix

Yes, it's true: she's even better in person.

I was surprised to see the wig cap, too—my apprehensions about it are now gone. It doesn't even look like a wig, and the hairline looks just as natural as a regular rooted doll.

The painting/shading on the body is so well done, too. This Gene is truly a work of art.

Now if I only knew how to style hair; I guess I'll just have to wait for some cool new retro wig caps!

The earrings went into the ears easily, the hands are fairly simple to switch, and the posing possibilities are much improved.

It has been wonderful to see Gene literally reborn again; even the older dolls and outfits seem to be getting more lovin', thanks to Phoenix. Kudos to Mel & George!
