Breakfast at Tiffany's
Integrity has recently announced a way cool release: a line commemorating the 50th Anniversary of "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Although they have gone out of their way to re-create the fashions that Audrey wore, they decided to stylize the character of Holly Golightly. Unfortunately, the style looks all too much like the typical frozen-bitch face that Integrity is known for. All of the charm and doey-eyed innocence of Hepburn is gone. In the future, I see a huge amount of nude Integrity "Breakfast at Tiffany's" dolls for sale on ebay.

I like the "frozen bitch face" you said. = D Kept me laughing. I still think that Mattel's Audrey Hepburn was the official one authorized by the estate for her likeness to be done. I was hoping someone would do "Sabrina". Check out Mattel's Audrey. She's really a beauty!
ReplyDeleteHowever, the background music for this video is fabulous! I wonder who sang it! = ) Keira Knightly is said to do the remake of "My Fair Lady" -- looks like another thing that Tonner will do if ever.
ReplyDeleteRaphael - I actually have Mattel's Audrey, and yes - they really did a great job on her face. Now if only she was articulated!
ReplyDeleteHi Dave,
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I've seen a Mattel Scarlett on an integrity body. I presume it can be done too with the Mattel Audrey Hepburn. Here's the link for you:

Copy paste on your browser. I also know that Rachel Tande of the group did that with her Scarlett. -- now, with that I wish the Integrity collection comes with a separate outfits. By the way are you getting the Silkstone Grace Kelly in her bridal gown by Mattel? That one is really pretty too. I can't tell if she looks like Grace though.
I bought 2 Integrity bodies to do a switch out with some of my Mattels, but alas the skin tones were just too different. Hopefully one day Mattel will come up with an alternative! As for Grace - the Franklin Mint's Grace looks much more like the real actress than Mattel's. So, without articulation and a likeness that falls short, I will probably skip them. FM already did most of the outfits except for the flowered dress from the Trousseau and the one from "To Catch A Thief." I can live without either one!
